Shared note
This is from a typewritten copy of an Obituary and Church Committee Notice that was included in the letter from Susie LeZotte, dated May 16, 1962, with the record of the LeZotte Family from the year 1828 to 1962.

Mr. Charles C. LeZotte who we reported last week as being critically ill, passed away Thursday morning last, the result of a general breaking down of the system, due to contracting a severe cold and to advanced age.
Charles C. LeZotte was born in Clinton County, New York, July 17, 1828, was married to Mary S. Little, January 1, 1849, and died at Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, April 27, 1905; aged 76 years, 9 months, and 10 days.
Mr. LeZotte and his young wife took up their new home in McHenry County, Illinois, in 1853, living there until 1964. They then moved to Osage, Mitchel County, Iowa, and from there, in 1871, to Page County, Iowas, where they resided for three years.
In 1874, they moved to Seward County, Nebraska, where they took a government homestead and lived upon the same until 1902, when they moved to Beaver Crossing, from which residence on Thursday morning last, he peacefully took up his journey to that bourne from which no traveler ere returns.
It pleased God to grant to Charles LeZotte and his wife more than half a century of wedded life. This union He blessed with eight children - four sons and four daughters: Charles W. LeZotte, Mrs. Emma Martin, Mrs. Ida Peterson, Hardy LeZotte, George LeZotte, Mrs. Ella Beers, Herbert LeZotte, and Myrtle LeZotte, all of whom, with their mother, live to mourn the loss of father and husband.
Brother LeZotte lived for the last several years in the communion of the United Evangelical Church, at whose services he was found each Sabbath morning, when age and infirmity would permit.
The Funeral Services were preached in the church of his choice by Rev. G.P. Netherly, his former pastor, on Saturday, at 2 p.m., April 29, 1905, and was largely attended.

Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be spread on the records of this court, a copy be sent to "The Pride of Beaver Crossing" and "The Independent Examiner" for publications, and a copy be sent to the bereaved sister and family.
