Fried Swiss Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2-3/4 cups grated Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Combine cheese, with all other ingredients. 

  2. Work into a stiff paste. If needed add more flour a tablespoon at a time.

  3. Shape into melon sized balls.

  4. Fry for about 6 minutes in deep fat.
